In 2007 Vice Chair of TGCC, Chris Coomber applied for creating
chances 1st prize which was a premier league player to come out to an event such as our annual show to do a presentation. Unfortunately or fortunately, we got 2nd prize which was L2000 from SAFC to create football in the community which is how our Monday night football was created and is funded.

Last year, Chris applied again, receiving this time runner up
prize which was 8 tickets to the NUFC/Wigan match.

We gave the tickets to our regular/long standing attenders of the football. Our present Coach is Steven Wood of Trimdon United Under 13s. Training is free of charge. We are having to train indoors at Trimdon Village Juniors due to Trimdon Grange having no where to train in the winter - this will revert back to the recreation field at Trimdon Grange in the spring and once we get our MUGA pitch it will be permanently at Trimdon Grange. The training is aimed at children of ages 5-12 years - its fun and keeps the children active - parents are welcome to come along and help out.
