Trimdon Grange Community Centre is over 100 years old. It is owned by Durham County Council and in 1963, a Management Committee was formed and commenced operating the Provision as a Registered Charity, working towards providing a Community facilities, a meeting place for the population of Trimdon Grange and surrounding area. The Community Centre is the only building of its kind in Trimdon Grange. In recent years, the Management Committee have worked co-operately to ensure the building is utilised by the community. The work undertaken throughout 1998-1999 includes new windows, doors, central heating system, new flooring, lighting, fully decorated inside and out, and the car park resurfaced. |

In the year 2000 after consultation, development work commenced on the Millennium Garden. This transformed the unkept garden into a community garden, where outside community activities, children's birthday parties, fun days, barbeques, and fayres. |

Working in partnership with East Durham & Houghall Community College and Durham County Council, enabled the supply twelve computers with broadband internet access and educational courses and support. Miners Banner for Trimdon Grange is displayed within the Community Centre – local history. |
